“ Recently went to a wedding that had a buffet English breakfast and it rekindled my love for it. My girlfriend and I found this beautiful little place along the riverbank which she had already been to but I had not. I have to say as my first experience this place was amazing. It was clean, the staff were friendly and it was an absolute delight. I ordered a regular English with extra hash browns with a glass of milk. The value for the food was pretty good. Some items were a little expensive but given the pandemic, it’s opened my eyes to spending a bit more of business that do really well, like this one. The food was delicious and left me feeling satisfied for the rest of the day! I would highly recommend this place. Really captures the essence of what being English (or Yorkshire) is all about. Will definitely be returning to the fine establishment to try their other meals. Thank you Riveresque! ”
“ Just incredible! Such a good find. The prices are so reasonable which was one of the reasons we went. Great little location with seating upstairs and down. The staff were kind, fun and really helpful. Had the salad and friend had the massive breakfast which was huge - see photos - but loved it. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you! ”

“ We came towards the end of their day but they did us some delicious baked potatoes and we got a nice seat with a view of the river. Portion size was good and the potato was perfectly cooked. ”
“ Been wanting to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint! We visited at around 9am on a Saturday and it was already busy with no tables available on the ground floor, but the whole downstairs was empty so it was easy to find a table. I liked the atmosphere and the setting being next to the river. Service was very quick as it took barely any time for our coffees to arrive followed by our food, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the breakfast and were very full after. While this was the veggie breakfast, presumably the normal breakfast is the same size, so the big breakfast must be absolutely huge! Our veggie breakfasts cost us 8.50 each which was great value for money considering the size. The coffee is fine, not amazing but it is cheaper than it is in most places in town so can’t massively complain but my cappuccino was very weak tasting despite apparently being a double shot and my boyfriend’s flat white wasn’t really a flat white. If we come again we’d probably order juice or something else. ”
“ Very impressed. Great little riverside cafe. Very busy and popular with the construction workers. Has some outdoor seating riverside in the alley, just down from all the colourful murals. Seating on two floors and loo is downstairs as well. Very efficient team of staff, prompt, professional service, knowledgeable about menu and friendly. Open 7 days a week. Vegetarian options available. I had an excellent Greek salad from the reasonably priced menu. Good portion. I also had a stonking red velvet cake for 2.95. Deffo recommend this place and will revisit. Thank you for looking after me. ”

“ Absolutely lovely food. We went for breakfast. I had a sausage,egg and cheese bap with a hash brown and my partner had the big breakfast bap with a hash brown. I had an Oreo milkshake to go with it. It was really nice and would highly recommend for a place to eat. The staff were lovely and the service was quick. They have some homemade treats as well so we got a rocky road and another milkshake for the road. ”
